Question:
When do I use Electronic Signature?
Answer:
About Document Signature
A document is considered valid if all parties who sign the document use the same type of signature, or in other words if in a document there are parties who use a different type of signature (some use a wet signature, some use a scanned signature, some using electronic signature (ES/ TTE)) then the document is called invalid.
Especially for ES, all parties who provide ES must be in a series of signing documents or in other words the document is considered invalid if the granting of ES is carried out in a separate system.
Documents signed through the ES system are also considered valid if the ES is made for complete documents. In other words, the document is not valid if the ES is only part of the document, for example only on the part of the acknowledgment sheet.
Invalid Case Example
Putu has documents that will be approved by his supervisor and mentor (field supervisor). Putu asked for a direct signature (wet signature) to the mentor, then scanned it and submitted it through Undiksha's ES system. This is not legal.
Wayan has a document signed by Wayan himself and his supervisor. Wayan signed the document, scanned the document and submitted it through Undiksha's ES system. This is not legal.
Made has a document that will be approved by his supervisor and mentor (field supervisor). Putu asked for a scan of the mentor's signature and placed it (glued) on the document, then Made scanned it and submitted it through Undiksha's ES system. This is not legal.
Legal Case Examples
Nyoman has documents that will be approved by the thesis supervisor and thesis examiner. Nyoman submitted a document to the Undiksha ES system to be signed by the supervisor and examiner. After the supervisor and examiner gave the ES. This is legal.
Ketut has documents that will be approved by the thesis supervisor and thesis examiner. Ketut asked for a direct signature (wet signature) to the supervisor and examiner lecturer. This is legal.
