Hello BoS (Brother of SIFORS) and fellow readers wherever you are, I hope you are all in good health and well-being. Let me introduce myself, I Gede Riyan Ardi Darmawan or often called Deyan Ardi, I am a Back End Developer, Software Engineer, and Linux User. On this occasion, allow me to share my experience during my studies at Ganesha Education University (Undiksha) and also share tips & tricks for students who want to have a career as a programmer.

I started this story from my background starting my career as a programmer, while I was a student at the Undiksha Information Systems study program, I was often active in projects that were mainly related to the world of programming, competitions, and not to forget I was also active in the world of organizations. . In the organizational world, I actively serve as a member of the programming sub-field at HMJ TI Undiksha for the 2019/2020 period. Then I was trusted to be the coordinator of field 5 HMJ TI Undiksha for the 2020/2021 period even though it was finally blocked by the pandemic. During my tenure in the 2020/2021 period, the pandemic hampered our creativity in the organization, as a field coordinator I had to think of various ways to keep the work program running even in the midst of a pandemic, and finally my career as a programmer started from here.

At that time, the pandemic made me think about how to run every work program in the organization effectively and efficiently. Even though it is hindered by the pandemic, I want HMJ IT Undiksha to be better known in the community, make organizational management activities easier, and activities that often cause crowds can be reduced. Until finally, thanks to God Almighty and our friends from field 5 members, we succeeded in designing and developing an SSO Informatic application which is an application used to carry out organizational management at HMJ IT Undiksha. SSO Informatic consists of several applications, namely HMJ TI Web, E-ORS, INTEGER and ETHICS. Until the end of my stewardship, this application was still actively managed by field 5 HMJ IT Undiksha and was still often used to carry out various management processes in the HMJ IT Undiksha organization.

After successfully developing the SSO Informatic application, I began to continue my programmer career by making application projects for independent purposes and self-taught through various courses, books, and Youtube media. I also started taking various skill certifications for every skill that I have mastered. The more I learn about current technological developments, the more curious I become to explore them, until finally I started to get a lot of attention from clients to help them in the application development process they need, of course getting paid for each development. Of course, this progress cannot be separated from the active role of the lecturers and my friends who have helped in promoting or providing opportunities for projects that I can do.
Seeing the number of statistics on the projects and clients I work with made me decide to start developing a business in the field of IT Solutions named Ganatech ID which was established in 2020. However, over time there were changes to my business, until finally in In 2022 I decided to change my business name to GanaDev Com and register as a sole proprietorship at the Directorate General of General Legal Administration. In general, GanaDev Com is an IT Solution business that focuses on developing applications and products for the needs of MSMEs, Campus Organizations, the General Public, and Students. Apart from establishing a business, I am currently a member of Startup and appointed as CIO (Chief Information Officer) of Startup Rudaya ~Connect The Art. In this startup I have the task of developing and supervising the people, processes, and technology in Startup Rudaya. From participating in this startup, I also often participate in competitions both at the provincial and national levels, which of course adds to the experience that I can describe in my Curriculum Vitae. As time went by and my experience, then I tried to find a main job and thanks to God Almighty, I was given the opportunity by the CEO of Ganeshcom Studio to work as a Back End Developer at Ganeshcom Studio Denpasar, this extraordinary opportunity I certainly did not waste.

Each of these experiences is of course very valuable to me and cannot possibly be repeated again. Maybe fellow readers are curious and want to know how tricks can be done as a programmer, both beginners and experienced, here I convey.

1. Appreciate Time
   As a programmer, time is very important, every job certainly has a time limit that we have agreed with the client. Never procrastinate to complete the work and responsibilities given. Always try to be able to complete work and responsibilities faster than the given time limit, that way you can take on other jobs to increase your income.
2. Appreciate Every Opportunity
   Remember that this life path has been arranged by God Almighty, life is like a spinning wheel, sometimes you can be in the worst position and you can also be in the best position. Wherever the position that you feel right now, always try to take every opportunity that exists and try to appreciate every opportunity, because it might lead you to the path of your success in the future. When you have the courage to take every opportunity, don't forget to be responsible for the decisions you have taken.
3. Expand Softskills and Experience
   The size of the opportunity that can come to you is also supported by how much effort you make to train your soft skills and experience. Practice more independently and self-taught, look for partners who really want to provide the right guidance, seek more relationships and make more independent products so that a value will emerge in yourself.
4. Respect Clients and Coworkers
   As a programmer, clients and co-workers are like family who must respect each other. They are the ones who can help you to promote yourself to other people, so that more and more clients are looking for and developing your products. Never make an action that disappoints their trust, because it could be the beginning of your self-destruction.

Those are some tricks that I can share based on my previous experiences.
