Hi Sifors, How has it been like studying in the information systems study program so far? I hope your minds won't be calm, because that means you are in the process of achieving something you don't yet have, whether it's knowledge, experience, or the process towards maturity. I am Meilanus Rivaldi, usually called Aldi, Valdi, or Superman. Yes, Superman! "Back when I first joined Sifors in the pioneer class, there was a professor who always called me that because I looked like Superman," he said. It turns out that recently I just realized that not only is my face similar to that character's, but I also have super powers like him. The proof is that I was able to face all the challenges during the lecture process at the Ganesha University of Education until I earned the S. Kom.
The main character of Superman is often acting alone, but he can also work together in groups and is, of course, not selfish. It turns out that I also have the same characteristics; I can always mingle with a group of friends, but I prefer to work on a project solo. This is evident from the fact that up until the time I was working on my thesis, I did everything myself, starting from submitting a different thesis topic than other friends to completing my thesis. I don't like depending on other people, let alone having to wait for friends to start doing something. My advice to those of you reading this is: let's do what's on our mind right now; don't procrastinate or wait for other people. Believe in yourself, know that you are unique, and never be afraid to be different.Remember our country's motto, "Unity in Diversity," which means different but still one? I have some tips for you to be more confident and optimistic in working on your thesis, namely:
Know your own capacity.
The first thing you have to do is know what abilities you have. If at this time you feel that your abilities are still lacking, then strive to improve your competence. But, of course, everyone has their own limits. Never force yourself to be exactly the same as other people; therefore, it is very important to know your own capacity. Of course, by knowing the extent of your abilities, you can increase your confidence in doing something that is indeed within your capabilities. So, my advice is that when determining your thesis topic, you have to adjust to your own capacity, so that in the future you will be more optimistic about working on your thesis until it is finished.
Dare to start
After knowing your capacity, the next step is to have the courage to start working on your thesis. After determining the topic of your thesis, you will prepare a proposal, conduct a proposal seminar, revise the proposal, conduct research, compile a thesis report, take the thesis examination, revise the thesis, and go through various other processes until finally you graduate and officially earn the S. Kom degree. Of the many stages, there is only one key, namely the courage to start. Start now, and little by little, stage by stage, you will complete them as well. Never procrastinate; keep yourself away from the words "ah, later, there's still tomorrow." Believe my words, be brave, and start now.
Sure, you can
After having the courage to start and knowing your capacity, what needs to be instilled in each of you is the belief that you can definitely do it. This belief really needs to be based on strong faith; our lives also have the intervention of God Almighty, so we must not forget it. Praying to God can foster confidence in our hearts that surely we can finish this thesis. Never be afraid to make a wrong move because no human is perfect. Everything starts with mistakes and misunderstandings, which then become true and understood. During the process of working on your thesis, you must be sure of the steps you are taking and, of course, have guidelines and a scientific basis. Examine your thesis topic using a variety of book sources, previous research articles relevant to your topic, and consultation with your thesis supervisor. When you stick to it all, you will undoubtedly feel more confident in yourself and, of course, more optimistic about finishing your thesis and earning a computer degree.
Those are some of the tips I can offer based on my own experience, so that they can be used as material for reflection or motivation for Sifors in the future. Praise God for allowing me to complete my tertiary education and begin fighting for the next level of my life based on the path I chose and the guidance of God Almighty. Thank you very much for myself, my parents, relatives, friends, my father and mother, the lecturers, and all other parties who have supported me to be able to complete my study. Keep up the good work, Sifors, who are still struggling; I'm sure you can too. Remember my tips: know your own capacity; dare to start; and be sure you can do it. God bless!
