Another encouraging news came from SIFORS students who successfully completed the VSGA certification exam on Data Management Staff competence. The Vocational School Graduate Academy (VSGA) program is a national competency-based training and certification program. The VSGA program consists of Technical Guidance and Certification which is held online and Intensive Training and Certification which is held offline. Technical Guidance and Certification (Offline) and Intensive Training and Certification (Online) which aim to produce technician-level talents/HR in the field of digital technology each have 10 training scheme options. Choice of training schemes in providing Technical Guidance and Certification (Offline) namely Junior Network Administrator, Junior Web Developer, Junior Mobile Programmer, Junior Graphic Designer, Intermediate Animator (Motion Graphic Artist), Intermediate Multimedia Designer, Drive Tester, Fiber Optic Installation and Activation Technician , Video Editor, and Data Management Staff.
The Data Management Staff competency certification activity held by the Center for Human Resource Development and Communication and Information Research (BPSDMP Kominfo) Yogyakarta took place from April 4-8 2022, at the Banyualit hotel, Buleleng. The activity began with the participants taking an antigen swab test and then participating in a 3-day training with training topics related to Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Excel, Email Client, Information Security, Social Media, Operating Systems, Web Browsers, and peripheral equipment. On the fourth and fifth day, a practical competency test will be conducted based on previously studied topics as well as a one-on-one understanding competency test for assessors from the Indonesian Information Technology and Telecommunication Professional Certification Institute (LSP TIK Indonesia).
In this activity, nine Information System students consisting of: Willy Yogantara Sidhi (2018), Irfan Walhidayah (2018), Muhammad Ridwan (2018), Ngakan Putu Amerta Dana (2018), Kadek Dwi Stiawan (2018), Made Rama Krysara ( 2018), Putu Dhanu Driya (2018), I Gede Sivananda Raja Negara (2019), I Gede Anggie Suardika Arpin (2019). Through this achievement, it is hoped that other students will be motivated to take part in similar activities in order to be able to improve self-competence and as a form of self-preparation to be able to adapt in the world of work, besides that certification is also a form of self-ability to understand a competency possessed.
