SIFORS students are constantly making achievements after achievements. This time it was SIFORS'20's turn on behalf of Kartika Nikova who made a very proud achievement. Kartika Nikova, who is familiarly called Tika, won the Silver Medal in the Environment Category, the Doza Srekja Macedonia Special Award from the Macedonia Association in the 2022 International World Science, Environment, And Engineering (WSEEC) competition organized by the Indonesian Young Scientists Association (IYSA) x School UI Environmental Science.
Kartika and her team, namely Kadek Edy Sukarma (Medicine/class of 2020), Kadek Ulik Permana Putri (Medicine/class of 2019), I Gede Agustian Aristhagoza (Medicine/class of 2020) underwent several stages of competition starting from submitting works, elimination, then exhibition booth as well as offline presentations at the School of Environmental Sciences, University of Indonesia. The success achieved by Kartika and Tim did not escape the guidance of Dr. dr Made Kurnia Widiastuti Giri, S.Ked., M.Kes. as a supervising lecturer.
In this event, Kartika and the team presented the Alternative Water Heater, an environmentally friendly water heater that can be used without electricity, by utilizing the concept of water density and solar heat transfer.
Congratulations Kartika, I hope you will continue to be enthusiastic and be able to make even more proud achievements and make the Information Systems Study Program proud, especially Ganesha University of Education in general.
